GPS Suction Cup and Garmin Mounts

Suction cups have not been good to me or my GPS devices. They have gone flying off the windshield and another mount before. A bit disheartening to see a few hundred dollars go flying around. Not to mention the rather hard object hitting me...

GPS Falling after Losing Suction
This was one of the many occasions when my GPS, one of them, just decided to unlatch. I've written about it before. Essentially, the suction cup probably doesn't like baking in the sun on a hot summer day.

Two GPS devices and mounts are shown in the video -- one was needed for the driver and another for the camera to pick up. The one on the left uses a suction cup and the one on the right is Garmin's beanbag-ish mount that has a solid attachment and lock. Not once has the Garmin version failed me so far.
