Pulling out Fallout 3 and New Vegas Collector's Editions

The follow-up to Fallout 3 and/or Fallout: New Vegas finally got announced recently. I can not wait considering the fact that I loved Fallout 3 and would have married New Vegas. My saved games with my maxed out and decked characters should still be on my hard drive somewhere. Got most of the downloadable content for the games, probably put in over a hundred hours a piece, and bought collector's editions close to opening day. Anyway, it turns out that I still have the game packages and contents in very good shape. I decided to pull them out to take a look recently.

Here are the videos showing everything off:

Fallout New Vegas Poker Chips, Cards
Fallout 3 Pip-Boy Bobblehead
Fallout 3 Lunch Box

Fallout 3 Package
The Fallout 3 PC package I got (other collector's versions may have been available) was my favorite with the Pip-Boy bobblehead. I think it also came with a coin that was a replica of the Roman emperor faction -- no, wait, it was a Septum or whatever the coin in the Oblivion world was called. Everything came in a metal lunchbox that was obviously too nice to ever actually use -- even kept the plastic shroud that went around the paint job.

Fallout: New Vegas Package
I liked the Fallout: New Vegas PC package I received (other collector's versions may have been available) with its hardcover graphic novel, poker chips, and deck of playing cards. However, the chips and cards were too unique to ever take out of the package to use, and I didn't have much of an interest in the graphic novel. In contrast, I put the Pip-Boy bobblehead on display the day I picked the game up. The chips and cards didn't have as much of a presence outside of the package without any special modification (e.g. framing).

Fallout 4 Collector's Edition?
As far as I know, no details have been released concerning the packages available for the Fallout 4 release. There's a good chance that there will be at least one collector's edition though. Whether I get a more expensive version or not is up in the air considering how little I've "played" with all of mine. Might just get it off Steam and not worry about accumulating more physical items.
